After a modest first day on the Bay of Palma, Sled won Race 4 of the Puerto Portals 52 SUPER SERIES Sailing Week to resume the level of consistency that has been their hallmark this season. After a solid start they chose the middle of the first upwind and were able to get right as the breeze built slightly, leading around the top mark from Platoon with Quantum Racing in third.
Onda made a nice gain on the left of the downwind leg, which got Eduardo de Souza Ramos’s team up to third, but they were just pipped on the line by Platoon. Finishing fifth, Quantum Racing are clear leaders by three points ahead of Tina Plattner on Phoenix, with Azzurra third.
Luna Rossa were penalised off the start line for an incident with Onda that sees the Italian team also take a two-point penalty for the contact that occurred.
