Things to Do in Porto Cervo

1. The Sunset Aperitif
Possibly one of the most typically Italian things you could do whilst in Porto Cervo is to enjoy an aperitif in one of the many restaurants by the port. If you want an extra special moment and are willing to take a 20-minute drive, the views from the Phi Beach Bar on the north-eastern corner of the island are spectacular.

2. Visit the Church of Stella Maris
Stella Maris church was designed by Michele Busiri Vici in the early 1960s. It sits, gleaming white, overlooking the harbour with a clock on its side so that the sailors know what time it is and don’t miss mass. The interior is beautifully simple, and the furniture smells of the local juniper from which it is made.

4. Visit the Beach
A timeless classic. There are many beaches nearby, but a few recommendations include Spiaggia del Piccolo Pevero, Portisco Beach and Liscia Ruia Beach. It really wouldn’t be a visit to the “Emerald Coast” without a dip in the translucent blue waters, a cocktail and a lounger now would it?

5. Walk to Capo Ferro
An important landmark in Porto Cervo is Capo Ferro. This is a high section of rocky terrain that projects from the sea. It also has a lighthouse on top, ensuring that the rocks are visible during the day or night. Capo Ferro is the first indication that visitors are reaching the town, and this makes it a must-visit attraction in Porto Cervo. Capo Ferro provides a wonderful view of the sea, along with a glorious view of the town and surrounding areas.
