As Azzurra clinch the 52 SUPER SERIES 2015 championship title today, rivals Quantum Racing took the overall lead for the Cascais Cup thanks to a first and third place today, gained in perfect racing conditions 14-18kts of W’ly breeze and bright sunshine.
Quantum Racing won the first race of the day comfortably. Bronenosec and Platoon were over the start line, Platoon fighting back to seventh, ahead of rivals Bronenosec and Sled.
Provezza followed up a fourth in the first race with a great win in the second race to elevate themselves to third overall on the Cascais Cup standings.
Quantum Racing lead the regatta by six points.
In the overall season standings Azzurra go into the final day unbeatable, but with 29 points in hand.
Platoon still hold third place by six points from Sled with Bronenosec one point behind.
