After the 30 miles coastal race yesterday the 52 SUPER SERIES at the 34th Copa del Rey MAPFRE returns to the upwind-downwind circuits. According to the PRO Ariane Mainmare conditions today should be the best we have seen yet this week with breeze to 16-18kts.
It rather depends what forecast we believe and I ahve seen two but for sure there should be a little more wind than yesterday and it looks pretty good for the rest of the week too.

she reported this morning.
Azzurra spent the night at Puerto Portals having their keel checked and some minor repairs but were back in the dockside line up bright and early.
The helm handover happens today on the Quantum Racing as Doug DeVos takes up the reins with a two points deficit. Terry Hutchinson seemed relatively relaxed at the prospect which is not too surprising since he has done many more regattas, and won several, with Doug on the helm.
On the Alegre the change at the back of the boat, bringing in young Nic Asher as tactician, seems to have been good for the team. Their results remain quite consistent and they are absolutley in the hunt. Meantimes the learning curve is pretty steep for Bernard Langley, son of owner Tony, who has been steering Gladiator with Bouwe Bekking on his shoulder.
Two race are scheduled today.
