While Andy Soriano steered Alegre to their first race win since Valencia in May, Azzurra took second and extended their overall lead at the top of the TP52 World Championship standings.
Alegre lead around the first mark after a solid start and good first half of the beat where they were able to work the early left. Azzurra came back strong after a less than perfect start, squeezed out of the early drag race to the left and forced to bail out right. Platoon were among the early contenders but had to take a penalty on the first beat as did Ran Racing which finished 11th. Quantum Racing worked hard to rise to third place, passing Phoenix on the final run. Eduardo de Souza Ramos team scored their fourth fourth place from five starts.
