In a 13 to 17 kts NWly mistral breeze Eduardo de Souza Ramos’ team on Phoenix scored their second win in a row from a long, varied day of three windward leeward races, to elevate themselves to second overall on the AUDI TP52 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP standings.
The Brazilian teacm were able to, again, lead around the windward mark after a solid start with good speed. Azzurra rounded the top mark second but lost out to Quantum Racing near the bottom of the run. The Italian team, winners in Capri, lost their kite on the drop and lost to Gladiator. Rán Racing were over the start line and lost time having to restart dropping to fourth. With Quantum Racing 2 3 2 for the day they are now two points clear of second placed Phoenix with Rán now third, one point behind the Brazilians.
