A win in the final race of Friday sees the Azzurra team keep themselves in close contention for the regatta lead at the Audi Sardinia Cup, the second regatta of the 52 SuperSeries.
The home crew made the start they wanted at the pin end of the start line to allow then to despatch Quantum Racing, the regatta leaders, towards the less favoured middle of the course. From there Azzurra were able to enjoy a solid lead to the finish. With the breeze best from the left on the first beat, RAN were well placed and took second round the WW1 mark which they held to the finish.
Paprec sailed well to hold off Quantum Racing to fourth, while GLadiator’s consistency took a dent with a sixth.
